Riding the Drove Roads

This is Vyv Wood-Gee who is riding from Dunvegan on Skye to Smithfield in London following the drove roads that were used to take animals to market.

Bad weather stops play

We have been unable to provide a service a couple of days this week because of bad weather. Basically, once wind speed gets above Force 7/8 it is dangerous for the boat coming up against the slipways so we have to stop running. Occasionally with a northerly wind, even Force 5/6 can be a problem. We are sorry if we have disappointed anyone, but we can't control the Highlands and Islands weather, much as we'd like to.
